American Style Silver Teacher Training

For each participant to:

• Be completely prepared to take the DVIDA® Silver exams
• Learn exercises to develop and teach strong movement, flexible joints, arm styling, lead and follow, musicality, choreography, use of feet, and more.
• Become comfortable teaching the material by preparing homework assignments to be presented in front of the class
• Learn the easiest way to teach the transition from closed to continuity styling for Waltz and Foxtrot (Silver Smooth)

Other Benefits:

• Silver Teacher Trainees are entitled to free practice, group classes, parties, and workshops at The Block Party in San Francisco.

 

Silver Rhythm I Session

Learn to dance and teach Rumba, Cha Cha, Bolero, and East Coast Swing at the Silver level using the DVIDA® syllabus.

Dates and Times:
Wednesdays 5-7pm, January 5-April 20, 2011

Location:
The Block Party Dance Studio, San Francisco

Prerequisite:
Must have completed BDTC’s Bronze program in Rhythm I or the equivalent (Master Teacher’s approval required)

 

Silver Rhythm II Session

Learn to dance and teach Merengue, Mambo, Samba, and West Coast Swing at the Silver level using the DVIDA® syllabus.

Dates and Times:
Wednesdays 5-7pm, May 4-August 17, 2011

Location:
The Block Party Dance Studio, San Francisco

Prerequisite:
Must have completed BDTC’s Bronze program in Rhythm II or the equivalent (Master Teacher’s approval required)

 

Silver Argentine Tango Session

Learn to dance and teach Argentine Tango at the Silver level using the DVIDA® syllabus.

Dates and Times:
Wednesdays 5-7pm, August 31-December 14, 2011

Location:
The Block Party Dance Studio, San Francisco

Prerequisite:
Must have completed BDTC’s Bronze program in Argentine Tango or the equivalent (Master Teacher’s approval required)

Tuition:
$275/month 

 

Silver Smooth Session

Learn to dance and teach Waltz, Foxtrot, Tango, and Viennese Waltz at the Silver level using the DVIDA® syllabus.

Dates and Times:
January -April 2012

Location:
The Block Party Dance Studio, San Francisco

Prerequisite:
Must have completed BDTC’s Bronze program in Smooth or the equivalent (Master Teacher’s approval required)

Tuition:
$275/month 

 

*Each course is its own program, and not a prerequisite for any other. Tuition is charged monthly for each course. You will receive a certificate acknowledging your achievement when you complete each course.
